Yoshika Okubo (大久保 葦歌 Okubo Yoshika) is a childhood friend of Mika Shimotsuki and Kagami Kawarazaki who is killed by Rikako Oryo.
Appearance[]
Okubo is an adolescent female of average height and build. She has large brown eyes and long brown hair tied up in twin ponytails with square bangs hanging over her eyebrows. She is typically seen wearing the Oso Academy uniform.
Personality[]
She is a kind, gentle, innocent and sensitive girl who cares about her friends.
Personal Background[]
Okubo's father dies with a huge amount of debt and her mother soon remarries, needing someone upon whom they can rely for help. When her stepfather starts behaving indecently towards Okubo (going into her bedroom when she's not there, staring at her with "obscene eyes," etc.), she quietly withstands such a harassment because she knows her mother cannot pay the family's debts.
Okubo's hue darkens as a result of the ongoing stress and she seeks out Rikako Oryo in despair, tearfully telling her everything. Rikako takes advantage of Okubo's plight by comforting, then seducing and murdering her.[1]

Mika Shimotsuki[]
Okubo has been friends with Shimotsuki since childhood. They're not as close as Okubo and Kawarazaki, however.
Kagami Kawarazaki[]
Okubo has been friends with Kawarazaki since childhood. They are very close and tell one another everything.
Rikako Oryo[]
Okubo idolizes Oryo. It is hinted that she is attracted to her and harbors romantic/sexual feelings for her. She is later seduced by Oryo and becomes her victim.
Etymology[]
- The name Yoshika means "reed" (葦) (yoshi) and "song, poetry" (歌) (ka).
- Yoshika's surname Okubo means "big, great" (大) (o), "long time" (久) (ku) and "protect, maintain, guarantee" (保) (ho/bo).
Trivia[]
- Okubo and Kagami Kawarazaki's hues were so well matched that the Sibyl System would have judged them suitable as couple.[2]
