I do sometimes jump the gun, admittedly, but never mean to hurt someone's feelings. This is why I say "let's talk" about disagreements as they arise rather than let them fester.
Chat might be a platform for discussion but no one was using it, so I disabled it. This is the weakness of text-only communication. There is no tone or volume of voice and no body language to add nuances. English is often abrupt in style and relies on those nuances to soften meaning. Most other world languages have those nuances built in.
I can't comment on anything that's posted in any other language but English, except to say that images with text-only need a translation if they are to remain on an English-text wiki, unless it accompanies a visual image.
Categories? I erred in assuming you added that one category and didn't. Were there more instances that that one?
As for wikia scores, are you talking about the leaderboard or Wikia tracking stats to become a Wikia Star? Wikia bots track all sorts of things for their purposes. The leaderboard is an optional feature to encourage intra-wiki edits, and as long as they aren't just delete-and-repeat edits, it's okay by me. A single daily edit is also legit. This is how wikia grows product.
Now...Characters. This is where Sub-categories make a big difference when a fan is searching for information. ALL characters should be included in the master Characters category. Stub articles for manga characters should be added and sub-catted as Manga Characters. I'm actually surprised no one has done this yet.
I rely on you, Amy, and all the editors who are doing an awesome job at growing this wikia. Enthusiasm is a wonderful thing but in our excitement, errors can be made. Could we all please accept that everyone makes mistakes and everyone helps everyone out? Corrections are not spiteful nor meant to be critical. They are just what they are - a correction that could be re-corrected, right? That's wikia is all about.
Thanks for taking the time to express a valid viewpoint, Amy.
