|“||You have a thorough knowledge of various Avatars and are able to imitate them perfectly. You can become anyone, so I was very interested in what your personality was like. That is why I lent you my people and my assistance. [...] But... I see this play is drawing to a close. Now that we've arrived at the final act, instead of borrowing the ideas of others, why don't you come up with an idea of your own to close the curtain? [...] You can play any character, and yet in the end, it turned out that you yourself are nobody. Your core personality is null. It's empty. You don't have a face of your own. That's how you could wear any mask at all over your smooth, featureless face and have it fit perfectly.||”|

Masatake Mido is an avatar-obsessed man who murders people he finds unworthy of their avatar and/or their avatar's popularity. After killing them, he adopts their avatar as his own and pretends to be the now-deceased person.
Mido has black-irised eyes, plainly styled pin-straight black hair and an average build. He wears circular eyeglasses and was only ever seen wearing a gray lab coat. Prior to his death, Mido's facial expression is non-existent.
Mido has a passion for avatars, worshiping them with utmost loyalty. Makishima finds him interesting because Mido "could become anyone", though this seemed to be only because Mido, himself, was "no one" and could pretend to be anyone else flawlessly. In addition to exhibiting heartless cruelty towards the avatar owners he kills, also displayed a general lack of sympathy for anyone and only begins to show fear just before he's killed by a Dominator on the Lethal Elimination setting.
- According to the MWPSB database, Mido is 27 years old, as of November 2112.
- His Crime Coefficient is 335.1.
