Overview

Joji Saiga (雑賀 譲二 Saiga Jyouji) is an former Analyst of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Public Safety Bureau. He formerly worked as a Clinical psychology professor.

Appearance[]

Saiga is a male in his 50's of average height and build with brown eyes and short brown hair swept back. He is typically seen wearing a green sweater and woolen muffler, but also a white lab coat. He wears corrective lenses.

Personality[]

He is a very sharp man, able to learn facts about people through small details of what they do and how they respond to their surroundings. He is very knowledgeable, but prefers to live as a recluse, seldom leaving his home. He enjoys doing research and quoting famous people. Saiga dislikes the current society and prefers to live the old-fashioned way ‒ growing his own food, having a non-holo house, etc.[2]

Shinya Kogami[]

Kogami is a former student who once impressed Saiga after asking a unique question. Kogami has great respect for Saiga and even calls him "Professor" long after the man's "retirement."[2][4]

Akane Tsunemori[]

Saiga meets Akane Tsunemori for a special profiling lesson.[2] Later, she visits him in the medical facility. Saiga is intrigued by Tsunemori's ever-healthy Psycho-Pass.[5]
