Junmei Ito (伊藤 純銘 Itou Junmei) is a latent criminal who is granted a Helmet that allows him to conceal his Psycho-Pass while engaging in his murders. He uses its capabilities to rob and murder two pharmacists as well as killing Hiroko Fuji shortly before the Helmet Riots.[1]
Appearance
Ito is a man of average height and build in his thirties. In his ID picture, he has dark-irised eyes, short brown hair and is wearing a blue suit, white dress shirt and green tie. When wearing the helmet, he wears a long, high collared red coat and black pants.[1]
Personality
He is defined by his rage with Hiroko Fuji to the point of obsession. He manifests his anger by cutting in half the many photos he has of her in his apartment, before turning them into effigies that he impales utensils such as pens and scissors into. His rage increases until he murders her.[1]
Ito is notably ruthless and lacks empathy for other people, which is evident when he remorselessly murders two innocent pharmacists in brutal ways in order to obtain medicines he desired.[1] He is shown to be impatient in his exchange with the male pharmacist upon his request being politely rejected, as he does not hesitate to impale the male pharmacist's mouth with scissors before proceeding to brutally stab a female pharmacist to death with numerous pens.
Personal Background
Prior to his murders, Junmei Ito and Hiroko Fuji were in a romantic relationship before the Sibyl System declared that there were other individuals that were more suitable for her instead. Upon Fuji breaking off the relationship, Ito is consumed by vengeance and entitlement, obsessively engaging in actions such as posting her pictures onto mannequins before stabbing them with utensils as well as displaying a distorted holographic image of her in his apartment. At some point, Ito was able to acquire a Helmet that granted him the ability to conceal his Psycho-Pass and evade the detection of the Sibyl System.
Relationships
Hiroko Fuji
Fuji and Ito are lovers until she abandons him after the Sibyl System proclaims there are other people more suitable for her. She seems to take pleasure in Ito's unhappiness with the decision[2] and is murdered by him.[1]
